Why am I Running for State Treasurer?

I am running for State Treasurer because I see the office going in the wrong direction. Thousands of unclaimed property requests unprocessed, ethical questions regarding the hiring of family members and political “cronies.” The current Treasurer has failed to perform the basic duties and responsibilities of the office. I have the knowledge and experience to bring professionalism and respect back to the State Treasurer’s office.

Why am I the Best Candidate?

I know how the office operates. 
Executive Assistant to the State Treasurer for over 7 years.

I understand budgets and the need for fiscal responsibility.
County Board Supervisor for 7 years. As Vice Chairman of the Finance Committee, I helped shape and approve budgets that totaled over $100 million. 

I know how the State Treasurer can help promote economic development. 
Economic Developer for 5 years. I helped recruit and retain businesses in three states. 

I believe I am the best candidate for State Treasurer because I have the right mix of public and private sector experience to do the job effectively. But don’t take my word for it. I have support from those who know the office best: former State Treasurers Jack Voight and Cate Zeuske; and former Deputy State Treasurer Nick Voegeli. They support me because they know I can run the office effectively on day one.
